HON. PRINCE BIDEMI AKINTUNDE-STAINLESS HONOURED IN LONDON BY LAGOS STATE APC UK.

On Sunday 28th September 2025, the UK Chapter of the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) in London honoured one of its shining stars and a Vice Chairman of the Chapter, Hon. Prince Bidemi Akintunde, popularly known as Stainless who was an aspirant in the last Lagos State Local Government Election. 

Hon. Stainless was presented with an Award of Honour in recognition of his active participation, resilience, and outstanding contributions during the 2025 Lagos State APC Chairmanship Election. The award of honour was jointly presented by Hon. Biodun, former Chairman of Lagos State APC UK Chapter; Hon. Tayo Shodeinde, the current Chairman of the Chapter; Hon. Afolabi Adebayo, Secretary of the Chapter; Hon. Mrs Taiwo Jeguma, Woman leader APC UK; Hon. Ladi Vera-Cruz, Ex-Officio; alongside other APC executives and members in the UK.

The award was described as a recognition not just of Stainless’s participation, but of his unyielding effort, encouragement, and strategic input that contributed immensely to a successful campaign and eventual victory for the APC in Lagos.

Though Hon. Stainless did not clinch the party’s primary ticket in May 2025, his sportsmanship, loyalty to the party, and steadfast commitment to APC’s ideals stood him out. His relentless grassroots mobilization, support for party structures, and unifying spirit were widely acknowledged as part of the strength that saw APC’s triumph at the general election.

Returning briefly to London for the award presentation, Hon. Stainless expressed his heartfelt gratitude. In his words:

"I sincerely thank the chairman, executives, and members of the Lagos State APC UK Chapter for this great honour. My appreciation also goes to APC UK, APC Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, APC Magodo, our leaders in Kosofe and Lagos at large, party executives, my family, Lagos state NURTW, Team Lagos, the Stainless Supporters, Team Ogbara, City Boy Movement, the Ajilesoros and the GAC leaders. This recognition is not just for me, it is for everyone who stood firm, who believed in me, and who worked tirelessly for our party’s success. I am humbled and deeply grateful. We all should continue to channel our energy on nation building and supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, definitely Nigeria will succeed”

Hon. Stainless, widely celebrated for his humility, generosity, and people-first politics. Prince Akintunde Stainless is expected to return to Nigeria soon for the continuous participation in local politics. His recognition by the APC UK chapter further strengthens his image as a rising political force and a man whose loyalty to the party remains unquestionable.
